Human intelligence is expressed in a number of ways, one key way is the ability to continuously improve meta-level understanding of the Universe and use it to their advantage. An Alien intelligence that has the capability to arrive to Earth will likely have a superior understanding of physics, engineering and biology. Getting the attention of such intelligent lifeforms may be much like an un-contacted civilization attempting to get the attention of the technologically developed world surrounding them for the purpose of acquisition and mutually beneficial integration. There are tangible next steps that are explored in this lecture for establishing contact in a scenario where Alien visitation is occurring.
