Churchill once described the Soviet Union as a “a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma.” Paraphrased and adapted, this phrase could easily describe how some enthusiasts have eagerly embraced the mystery of remote viewing as a tool to explore the enigma of the UFO/UAP phenomenon. This shotgun marriage has led to many bizarre claims and linkages. Yet there is a core of plausibility to using remote viewing as a tool to reveal things about UAPs that are immune to more
“scientifically acceptable” methods. Part documentation and part speculation, this talk traces some of the early connections of remote viewing to Ufology and how the two have become conjoined over time. In the process, I point out both some of the drawbacks and some of the potential advantages of using remote viewing in the UAP phenomenal context. I call upon original documents, actual UAP-related remote viewing sessions, personal narratives, and other authentic archival resources to expand and illustrate my discussion.
