Long before Edgar Cayce spoke of the Hall of Records, long before the Arab lore of the Sphinx as the terrible guardian of treasures and tombs, the ancient Egyptians themselves wrote in cryptic ways about written records hidden in special places underground. This presentation will take the audience on a 3000-year-long journey to reveal the meaning of Egyptian hieroglyphic writings hinting at what these records contained and how they were used. When the scattered pieces of this puzzle of symbols all come together, we are confronted with a baffling conclusion: Before the Great Sphinx of Giza, there was a stony lioness who guarded an archive of astronomic records beneath her, which were possibly opened by the first kings of Egypt at the dawn of Egyptian civilization.
