Workshop with Nick Pope
Sunday, June 2, 2019
Location: Discovery Room

Project Blue Book’s scientific adviser, Dr. J. Allen Hynek, famously pointed out that ufology is the study of UFO reports and not UFOs. A lot of questions stem from this obvious but perceptive remark: is scientific ufology possible, and if so, which scientific fields are most relevant? Do governments look at the phenomenon scientifically, and aside from science, are there other investigative methodologies that can be applied to ufology? Finally, how does all this affect the believer versus skeptic debate about UFOs? Nick Pope will host a controversial workshop assessing the current state of ufology, and looking at the way ahead. Audience participation will not only be welcomed, but actively encouraged, so come and share your views!
