Robert Salas

U.S. Air Force, Aerospace Engineer, Teacher

A graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy (1964), Mr. Salas served on active duty as a Missile Launch Officer, Minuteman I, and propulsion engineer on the Titan III missile program. After separation from the Air Force, he worked for Martin-Marietta Aerospace and Rockwell International on Space Shuttle design proposals. From 1974 until his retirement in 1995, he worked for the Federal Aviation Administration as an aircraft structures certification engineer. He recently completed seventeen years as a mathematics teacher. He has authored three books about the UFO phenomenon: Faded Giant, Unidentified – The UFO Phenomenon, and UAPs and the Nuclear Puzzle. Since 1994, he has spoken in the U.S. and internationally about his experiences during the 1967 Malmstrom AFB, UFO incidents.
